Pueblo City Schools - For the safety of all staff and students, Baca Elementary School is on a precautionary lockdown due to a police situation involving gunfire in the neighborhood. Students will be held at the school, as will buses, until the Pueblo Police Departments deems it safe for students to be released. Students will be released only to parents with photo identification. Heaton Middle School is not on lockdown; however, Heaton bus number 151 which services the Baca area will be held until after the Baca lockdown is lifted. Those students may be picked up at Heaton by parents with photo identification. Spann Elementary School was on lockdown earlier today. The Spann lockdown is lifted, and students will be released at regular time.
