Artist’s Reception, Friday, May 19, 5-8 pm May 19—June 12, 2017 “The garden is a sacred place where you can lose yourself and find yourself at the same time,” says Ace McCasland, one of two artists sharing our gallery space for “The Artful Garden.” Ace McCasland delves into many different forms of expression, including being an avid gardener. She is no stranger to the gardening terms 'late bloomer' and 'transplant'. Ace describes herself as a true cactus hugger who brakes for wildflowers. The other artist in this show is Caron O’Neil. Caron is using found objects and materials that might otherwise end up as trash to help enhance and improve one's garden, yet at the same time help to protect the health of ourselves and the planet. She is very excited about the Kokedama balls she is creating for this show. Ace and Caron have created the body of work for “The Artful Garden” to build awareness of easy garden improvement ideas and to spread joy and creativity to your garden and living spaces.
