For ages 8-13. Campers will exercise their sense of play through a week of improvisational games and exercises! Our teachers will work with these young improvisers to enhance their ability to communicate with others and develop confidence in their own creativity while working as part of an ensemble. This camp will help your child develop skills like creative thinking, self-confidence, listening, brainstorming, team building, empathy, and communication (while having loads of fun and laughs)! Our summer camps are small, smart, and will make your kids think (and do)! With a maximum of 20 students, your child will be immersed in hands-on, experiential learning through programs connected to our rich performance history. Our talented team of instructors includes UCCS faculty and staff, THEATREWORKS teaching artists, and other community partners. Before and after care is available before (8:30–9:30 am) and after (3:30–5:00 pm) camps. Enrollment in before/after care takes place during camp registration. Before and after care is available free of charge. For questions, please contact Joye Cook-Levy, Education Program Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (719) 255-3919.
