KRCC WEB-STREAM HELP
The service that we use (www.shoutcast.com) will function with virtually any audio player (i.e. iTunes or SoundJam for MAC; XMMS for Linux; Windows Media Player or RealAudio or Winamp for PC & MAC). If you encounter problems, please email delaney@krcc.org.
KRCC provides four different audio streams. A two mono 40k streams (HD1 & HD2) for folks using a modem and a dial-up connection. At 40k, you can hear KRCC and still browse the web, if you're using a 56k modem. We also offer higher-quality stereo 112k audio streams (HD1 & HD2) for folks that have a faster connection, such as a DSL, cable modem or T1.

MACINTOSH
Mac folks can use iTunes, Winamp, SoundJam, and probably many others. Apple's iTunes is a great choice for streaming audio. See the following example:
In iTunes, open the ADVANCED menu, select OPEN STREAM
and enter one of the following addresses:

iTunes will remember the stream. So the next time you want to listen to KRCC,
just do a quick search of your library for KRCC and
double-click.

Add KRCC to your Winamp bookmarks and you'll never have to mess with a pop-up

Open Windows Media player.
Click the tab on the top of the player that says "LIBRARY."
Click the green "+" in the bottom left-hand corner of the player
and select "OPEN URL" from the dialogue box that opens.
Enter this in the box that pops up: (pick your speed and channel)

Click OK.
On the left side of your media player, find the link that says
"OTHER MEDIA," and click it.
Look for the an item in the main window that says:
shoutcast.krcc.org and double-click it.
That should start the stream.
The link in library listing should persist, so just go back to it and double
click it any time you want to stream us.

To get to the URL, you'll need to:
If you do not see "FILE" in the upper left corner of the player, then click on the "Layout Options" and choose "Classic Menus."
Click the "FILE" in the upper left corner, then click on Open URL. (or, use the
shortcut Ctrl-U)
