My dad was in radio and television, so I grew up hanging around radio and TV stations. Working in construction in the winter in Calgary was less than pleasant, so when a friend of my dad's asked him if I'd like to try out for a radio show, I jumped at the chance to work in a place that was warm, and where I could play records for a living. I left Canada for San Francisco in 1994 to work on what became the number one morning show in the Bay area. That led to a morning show at Q 104, the classic rock station in New York City.
I moved on to Sirius XM to produce a daily talk show. My wife and I both lost our jobs in New York at about the same time thanks to the recession, so we decided to move back to where my wife grew up - Colorado Springs. I love working at KRCC, and when I'm not there, I'm doing voice overs, hiking, biking, traveling, gardening, and taking leisurely walks with Rosie, our Golden Retriever.
