12th Annual Pikes Peak Art and Music FestivalCheck out work from 75 national artists and listen to music from local bands like Flute Daddy and Ponder the Albatross at America the Beautiful Park.July 2nd: 10am – 8pm July 3rd: 10am – 6pmJuly 4th: 10am – 4pm$5 admission for adults 16+Free for military on July 4th

Cheyenne Mountain State Park Independence Day Celebration Bring the whole family to this (early) Western celebration with guided hikes through the park, opportunities to practice your roping skills, and food from local vendors. After the festivities, the park is a great place to watch the Fort Carson fireworks at 9:30pm.July 3rd: 5pm – 8pm$7 State park admission fee**Cheyenne Mountain State Park is located south of Colorado Springs at 410 JL Ranch Heights Road. Take Nevada Avenue south, which becomes Colorado State Highway 115 to JL Ranch Heights Road opposite the Main Gate One entrance to Fort Carson. Turn to the west to the park entrance. 

4th on the 3rd Star Spangled Salute at Fort Carson Celebrate the nation's birthday at Fort Carson. Enjoy bungee jumping, live music, and food vendors in Fort Carson's Iron Horse Park. Top off the evening with a (pre) 4th of July fireworks display at 9:30pm.July 3rd: 4pm – 10pmAdmission free

Sky Sox Fireworks DisplayThe Sky Sox will be taking on the New Orleans Zephyrs with a fireworks display to follow.  July 3rd game begins at 7:05 pm Tickets start at $7, and can be purchased HERE

Woodland Park Cemetery Crawl Take a tour of the historic cemetery in Woodland Park and contemplate our nation's history as you meet some of its earliest residents wandering the grounds in full historical garb.July 4th: 1pm – 3pmAdmission $5

Summer Symphony Fourth of July Concert Colorado Springs residents have flocked to Memorial Park to celebrate the Fourth since 1973, and this year will be no different. Bring a picnic or buy food and beer from vendors (or, more likely, both). Performances by the Fort Carson 4th Infantry Band will be followed by the Colorado Springs Philharmonic at 7:30, and then a grand finale fireworks display at 9:00. July 4th 5:30pm – 9:30pmAdmission free

Rock Ledge Ranch Family FourthCome meet Katharine Lee Bates, who wrote America the Beautiful, and ask her about how Pikes Peak inspired her lyrics. Hear the Declaration of Independence read aloud, see a blacksmith at work, or take a wagon ride at this historical celebration at Rock Ledge Ranch in Garden of the Gods. July 4th: 10am – 5pmAdmission $8 Adults, $5 Seniors (55+), $4 Teens (6-17), Children Free

Cripple Creek Fourth of July CelebrationFor more than 100 years, Cripple Creek has celebrated the Fourth of July at City Park. Enjoy music, food, and a beer garden in the Brass Ass Casino parking lot and see fireworks at 9:30pm.July 4th Admission free

Tri-Lakes 4th of July Celebration20,000 people will descend on Monument on the Fourth for a full day of festivities. Early-rising patriots can start off the day with the 34th annual Tri-Lakes fun run at the Palmer Lake Trailhead at 7am. After that, the children's parade begins at 9:30am in downtown Monument and is followed by the main parade at 10am. Parking for the parade will be available at Palmer Ridge High School and Lewis Palmer High School with shuttles to and from the parade. The Annual Street Fair begins at 8am on 2nd St and Washington St. There will be a beer garden in the Limbach Park with concerts from 3:00pm to 7:00pm featuring Miguel Dakota of America's Got Talent. Fireworks display will be at Palmer Lake at 9pm.July 4th: 7:00am – 9:30pmAdmission free

Manitou Springs Fireworks DisplayThe Manitou Springs Volunteer Fire Department will present the annual display, which begins at 8:30pm. Fireworks will be launched from Higginbotham Flats, and will be visible from downtown Manitou. July 4th: 8:30pm

Michelle Peulen, spokesperson for CDOT, says while there will be no closures over the holiday weekend, travelers can expect work zones and traffic delays. She says to leave plenty of time for travel, and, as always, to buckle up and drive sober. 

Fire Captain Steve Wilch of the Colorado Springs Fire Department reminds city residents that personal fireworks--including sparklers--are illegal within city limits. People caught with fireworks can face fines or jail time.
