  • Efforts to challenge a controversial land-swap in Colorado Springs through a proposed ballot measure have lost in court.  A judge struck down a clause related to Strawberry Fields yesterday in proposed ballot language that would require a public vote before the city could divest parkland.  According to the group Protect Our Parks, the judge ruled the measure, including the clause, could be confusing and constituted two subjects, which is not allowed.  A court challenge to the original decision that traded Strawberry Fields to the Broadmoor Hotel continues.
