- The number of children living in poverty in Colorado has gone down for the second year in a row.
- Enrollment at Colorado State University-Pueblo is down about 300 this year. School officials say it doesn't come as a surprise due to a large graduation class and a nationwide trend of declining enrollment.
- Rocky Mountain National Park is on pace to break last year's annual visitor record. The park has attracted 2.9 million visitors through August, up 20 percent over the same period last year. Park officials say they expect to break the record in September, which is their busiest month.
