A film crew from a lifestyle program airing on public TV stations is visiting Pueblo.  KRCC’s Tucker Hampson reports.

Crews from Voyager are focusing on culture, lifestyle, and arts for a 28-minute segment on Colorado’s Steel City. The Voyager series visits locations around the world for its multimedia broadcast.

Production Coordinator Rita Pando with the Pueblo Arts Alliance says the segment is an opportunity for people to see what Pueblo has to offer.

"I think a lot of people have misconceptions about Pueblo," Pando says, "and don’t think there’s much happening down here, even people in Denver and sometimes in Springs.  Pueblo has a very thriving art scene here, and there’s just a lot of really creative things happening here."

The series films in Pueblo through Saturday, including segments on the Arkansas River mural, Pueblo’s Chile Festival, and local shops like Gagliano’s Market. The crew is also scheduled to visit Telluride.
