  • A new landslide ordinance passed by Colorado Springs City Council yesterday means, among other things, the state's Geological Survey will be more involved in the process of land development and that builders will need geological hazard reports on lands at risk of slides.  The Colorado Springs Gazette reports the new rules passed unanimously, which is the exact opposite of what the city's Planning Commission recommended.  The paper reports the new rules come after landslides have impacted nearly 30 homes since 2015.
