What is eTown?
eTown is an exciting weekly radio show that’s been on the air from coast to coast for 21 years. Unlike any other program, eTown mixes live music from top performers in a wide variety of styles with conversation and information about our communities, our environment and common sense stewardship. Every eTown show is full of great music, and the musicians get a chance to open up during interviews with host, Nick Forster. The weekly presentation of the E-chievement Award highlights hometown heroes from around the country, each one taking small steps towards solving big problems. It all comes together with the grand finale with all musicians joining together in one last song.
eTown’s mission is to educate, entertain and inspire a diverse audience, through music and conversation, to create a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable world.
eTown Hall is a multi-purpose building in the heart of downtown Boulder that is not only home to eTown’s offices, but also a world-class live music venue, full service recording studio and a real community center. True to eTown’s 21-year commitment to environmental education and “doing the right thing,” this building, converted from an old church facility, is quite possibly the greenest music and media center in Colorado!
Whether at the eTown Hall, the Boulder Theater or one of the many other venues around the country where the show is recorded, eTown is an entertaining, informative and downright inspiring live show. Hosts Nick and Helen Forster lead the show seamlessly, mixing music and message with humor and energy to create a one-of-a-kind live radio experience.
