KRCC’s Membership Drives
Although KRCC accepts donations throughout the year, a
significant portion of its budget comes from fund raising. The Fall and Spring
Membership drives take
place during the last full week of October and last full week of April. During
membership drive week, regularly scheduled programs are pre-empted by on-air
fundraising.
Pre-drive efforts begin two months prior to fund drives. During this time
renewal letters are sent to existing members who can qualify for extra premiums
as
well as the Early Bird Card. Pre-drive
efforts have proven to significantly reduce the need for on-air fundraising,
with the Fall 2003
Membership Drive lasting
a mere 25 hours!
