Matt Larson is in his mid-thirties and already concerned about what will happen at the end of his life. A year ago, he was diagnosed with brain cancer. It was treated, but there’s a 50 percent chance it could return. If it does, he wonders at what point he would want to die. In November, Colorado voters will decide whether terminally-ill patients can legally end their lives.

Statistics show that Colorado has one of the highest suicide rates in the country, and Pueblo County has above average rates in the state.  For one suicide prevention clinic in Pueblo that unexpectedly closed its doors at the end of 2015, economic, technological, and other challenges became insurmountable, leaving some to question the impacts of the closure.

One of the latest rankings for Colorado Springs highlights the city as among the thinnest nationwide of large metropolitan areas.

Cases of ringworm in cats are on the rise in Pueblo County. The increase puts humans at risk of exposure, as the infection can be spread from a pet to its owner.

The Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs is set to reopen Monday after being closed for over two months.

The clinic closed in November after an attack by an armed gunman left three dead and others injured. The building sustained heavy damage to the entrance and interior, and repairs are ongoing.
