91.5 KRCC presents an evening of reggae music with the band New Kingston on Sunday February 18 at the Black Sheep in Colorado Springs. New Kingston is a progressive reggae group whose members combine their Jamaican heritage with the urban sounds of their New York home.
New Kingston are a family band consisting of brothers Tahir, Courtney Jr., and Stephen along with their father, Courtney Panton, Sr. Opening for New Kingston are The Late Ones who are based out of Laie, Hawaii. The Late Ones' sound is built on a roots reggae foundation with influences from various genres like Hip-hop, R&B, and jazz, creating a unique blend of style, and harmony shapes a youthful, yet old school reggae vibe.
