Rocky Mountain Food Report: The Blue Star Closes To “Reimagine & Renovate” Until Relocation In 2019

The Blue Star announces that they will temporarily close as of Saturday, October 7, with plans to reopen at an undisclosed location in downtown Colorado Springs in 2019.

The Blue Star says it’s an opportunity to “reimagine and renovate” but “the guiding principles will continue to be the foundation of the reinvented restaurant.”

A farewell celebration at The Blue Star begins on Thursday, October 5 and runs through Saturday, October 7, with half-off bottles of wine and nightly chef’s specials starting at 5:00 p.m.

“We remain committed to the culinary scene in Colorado Springs and elevating the food, service and experiences for our city,” said Joseph Coleman, owner of Blue Star Group. “I’m excited about the mark The Blue Star has made on our community, our team members and myself, and we will continue to sharpen our skills and craft unique experiences in the rebranded Blue Star. The face of the restaurant business is evolving with a generation of diners that value experience in dining; with that in mind, we move with intention and excitement towards reimagining The Blue Star.”
